Collection: Game Sets

A 3-in-1 combination game set holds chess, checkers and backgammon, while a 5-in-1 set includes those three plus Chinese checkers and dice games. Pick a 3-in-1 when you want the three core classics in a lighter set, or a 5-in-1 when you want more game choices packed into one set.

Yes, every game set on this page is designed to be portable, and weights run from 0.6 to 7 pounds. The backgammon and 3-in-1 sets fold shut to about 2 inches thick, and some add a built-in carrying handle or locking clasps. The cribbage boards are the lightest and slimmest option, at less than an inch thick.

The board game sets here suit two to six players, depending on the games inside. Chess, checkers and backgammon are two-player games, so the backgammon sets and 3-in-1 combos are made for two. A 5-in-1 set plays two to six, and the cribbage boards take two, three or four players, with four split into teams of two.

Yes, every combo and backgammon set on this page includes playing instructions, and each combo set has instructions for every classic board game it holds. The instructions are packed in with the pieces, dice and doubling cube, so a player new to any of the games can learn the rules from the set itself.

A multi board game set here keeps its pieces inside the set itself, so nothing goes in a separate box. The 3-in-1 combos open to an interior compartment beneath the chess and checkers top, and a 5-in-1 combo packs all of its pieces into the set as well. Some combos also add storage bags so the pieces stay organized.
