Dartboard Accessories FAQs
What dart board accessories should I add to my home setup?
The dart board accessories worth adding to a home setup handle mounting, the throw line, scorekeeping, lighting and dart storage. This page carries mounting brackets and a leveler kit, throw line markers and lights, scoreboards and electronic scorers, a cabinet light and wall-mounted dart caddies. It also has framed backboards, and our backboards and surrounds offer more ways to shield the wall.
Do all dartboards and accessories work together?
Not all of them, so match dartboards and accessories by board type before you buy. The wall mounting kits and the magnetic dart holsters are made for sisal or bristle boards, while the plug-in throw line light fits select Viper electronic boards. Throw line markers, lighted throw lines, dart caddies and the padded dart mat work for both steel tip and soft tip play.
Do lighted scoring accessories need batteries?
Yes, every Viper Illumiscore scoreboard on this page runs on 4 AA batteries or an optional AC adapter, while the chalk and plain dry erase scoreboards need no power. Because the adapter is an optional add-on, plan to have batteries or an adapter ready before the first game. The power adapter sold here lists the model numbers it fits, so check that yours is on that list before you buy.
What kinds of Cricket scoreboards do you carry?
Cricket scoreboards on this page come in chalk and dry erase styles, each sized small or large, plus illuminated boards that light up for play in a dark room and electronic scorers that do the math for you. All of them track Cricket, 01 games and their common variations. The boards you write on come with chalk, markers or pencils, plus hardware or an adhesive backing for mounting.
What does every dart player need?
Beyond darts and a board, every dart player needs the board mounted at regulation height, a marked throw line and a way to keep score. Measure 5 feet 8 inches up from the floor to the center of the bullseye before you fix the mounting bracket. Then mark the steel tip or soft tip distance with a throw line marker, so every player throws from the same spot.
