Adjustable Weight Darts FAQs
What weights can adjustable weight darts be set to?
The adjustable weight darts on this page can be set from 16 up to 19 grams. Every set is a Viper Bobcat soft tip set with an add-a-gram system, and four versions switch between 16, 17 or 18 grams while the other four switch between 16, 18 or 19 grams.
What tips do adjustable darts use?
Adjustable darts on this page use 2BA soft tips with an add-a-gram fitted, and 1/4 inch tips at 16 grams with no weight on. The 1/4 inch tips are not included, but each Viper Bobcat set comes with three extra 2BA tips, so pick up 1/4 inch tips separately if you plan to play at the lightest setting.
Do heavier darts fly straighter?
Heavier darts fly on a flatter path and can feel more stable in the hand, which many players find more forgiving. That does not make a heavier dart right for every player, so compare a heavier setting with a lighter one over a few rounds. Because each set on this page changes weight with add-a-grams, you can make that comparison with one set of darts.
How can I add weight to my darts?
With the adjustable weight darts on this page, you add weight by fitting add-a-grams, and every set comes with six of them. Fit an add-a-gram set to move up from 16 grams, and take it off again to drop back to the lightest weight. Each set's Viper Deluxe Dart Pal case has room to store the add-a-grams you are not using.
