Count Up Dart Game Rules

Count up is the easiest dart game to learn and the first one many people play when picking up darts.

Number of Players

Two or more players or teams.

Any number of people can play together and it's easy to have everyone play on different teams.

How to Play

To play Count Up, simply choose a target number such as 300, 500, or 1000. This is the number you need to count up to. Once chosen, each player takes turns throwing three darts at the board. Whatever they hit gets added to their total score and whoever reaches the target first wins.

Everyone should get the same number of turns, so if someone reaches the target, make sure everyone gets to complete their last turn.

If multiple people hit the target in the same turn there are a few ways you can decide on the winner. The game can end in a tie, the person with the highest score could win, or each player who hit the score could participate in a sudden death round where they get three darts to try and outscore their opponent.
