ADA Monthly Pro - Doug DeRemer

We'd like to introduce everyone to Doug DeRemer, the American Darter's Association September Monthly Professional. As part of GLD Product's partnership with the ADA they have put us in touch with Doug so he could answer a few questions.

How did you first get into darts?

Started 2010 with a couple of friends.

What is it about darts that you enjoy the most?

Meeting new people. 

Can you share a moment or game that really sticks out to you from your darting career? 

Washington open tourney. 2015 won my first steel tip event.

Do you have any advice for someone who is interested in darts but doesn't know where to start? Like how to get started, what to focus on first, how to connect with other players?

Find out if any local leagues are in your area. Build a dart for your throw, experiment with different flights and shaft sizes. Go out to local Luck of the draws.

What has been the biggest challenge you've faced when it comes to improving at darts? 

Definitely getting through the yips. It’s been an ongoing struggle at times. 

Where is your favorite place to play darts?

Revolutions in Fairfax VA.
